meet ismet

Ismet Yilmaz, the chef and founder behind Turkish Chef on Wheels in Denver, was born in Izmir, Turkey, where he developed a deep love for cooking alongside his mother. After moving to the U.S. in 2000 and settling in Colorado, Ismet turned his lifelong passion into a business, launching the food truck in 2017. His goal was simple: to share the flavors of his homeland with the Denver community. Known for his generosity, dedication, and authentic cooking style, Ismet has grown the business with heart and hustle-serving up not just delicious food, but also a piece of Turkish culture with every dish.

  • Loaded Fries

    Crispy fries loaded with feta cheese and spices. Optionally add doner meat.

  • Döner (Turkish Gyro)

    Marinated lamb and beef grilled on a vertical broiler and thinly sliced. Served with green salad, basmati rice, hummus, yogurt-mint and hot sauce.
